Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps. It explain how people perform different processes in a sequence of steps. This text uses simple past tense, often imperative sentences. It also use the temporal conjunction such as first, second, then, next, finally, etc.

- Steps (the actions that must be taken)
III. Example
CLAM SATAY
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of clams
- 5 shallots
- 2 tbs of sweet soy sauce
- 1 limes
- salt and pepper
Steps:
- Boil clams, after they are done let it cool.
- Take the meat out.
- Slice shallots.
- Mix shallots, soy sauce, and lime juice with the clams.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Put clams in skewers and grill them for a little bit.
- If they are done, put it on the plate.
- Finally your clam satay is ready.
